House DJ Fisherman is back in the fish tank.

Sfiso Mjoli, popularly known for his song, Happy Song, was previously signed under Afrotainment.

He released his debut album The Fish Tank Vol 1 in May 2010. On this album DJ Fisherman worked with the legendary Nana Coyote and Bucie.

TshisaLIVE caught up with DJ Fisherman, who said after leaving the label he had to pause his work as a music producer.

“Began focusing on learning a new skill, coding, as it has been one of my dreams to start a tech company.

“I'm in the studio working on new music and planning to release an EP soon. Putting the final touches to my soon to be released project.

“We are collaborating with a new talent and seeking additional producers and vocalists. Interested people can submit their samples to music@fameus.co.za so we can work together making good music.”

DJ Fisherman's last offering was Evolution in 2014, before opted for greener pastures. “I'm creating a platform for musicians, aiming to address numerous challenges encountered by artists. Leveraging my industry experience, I'm striving to shield upcoming artists from these hurdles,” he said.

Asked if there is bad blood between him and his former boss DJ Tira, DJ Fisherman said: “No, there is no bad blood. Me leaving the label was on mutual reasons and me paving the way for upcoming artists is one of those reasons.”
